We’re facing one of the most difficult decisions any pet owner can make. Our cherished husky, born in December 2013 (though possibly younger given his incredible vitality), is thriving in every way - but our upcoming relocation to a very warm country by year’s end has us questioning what’s truly best for him.

Why We’re Exploring Options?

This isn’t about convenience or logistics - it’s about love. He’s already struggling with our current summers in the Netherlands, and the thought of subjecting him to a permanently hot climate feels cruel. The lengthy, exhausting journey to get there would be stressful for any dog, let alone one his age. We’re not looking to rehome him for any other reason than simply exploring whether someone else might be able to give him the climate and lifestyle he deserves better than we can in our new location.
If we don’t find the absolutely perfect match - someone who can love him as much as we do and provide what he needs - we’ll absolutely take him with us and do everything possible to keep him comfortable. This is about giving him options, not abandoning him.

The Ideal Owner We’re Seeking:

An Active Lifestyle Enthusiast who genuinely loves running, hiking, or long daily walks. This remarkable boy defies his age with boundless energy and would be the perfect companion for someone who leads an active life. Whether you’re a dedicated runner or a family who enjoys weekend adventures, he’d thrive with your energy.

Someone with a Secure Garden where he can roam freely and safely. He’s accustomed to outdoor space and loves spending time in fresh air, so a fenced yard is essential for his happiness.

Air Conditioning for Tough Summers - someone who can provide reliable cooling during hot weather is strongly preferred. He needs relief from heat to stay comfortable and healthy.

Understanding of His Quirks - he’s wonderfully food-motivated (translation: he’s a lovable glutton who needs portion control), and he has claimed every couch as his personal throne. He’s not destructive with furniture, but he definitely believes sofas were invented specifically for husky comfort. If you don’t mind sharing your couch with a gentle, furry friend, you’ll get along perfectly.

This incredible dog brings pure joy and unconditional love. He’s remarkably social, gentle, and possesses that classic husky charm that wins hearts instantly. He loves everyone and everything! Despite his age, he’s completely healthy with no medical issues ( he only has a small benign cutaneous horn made of keratin on his head but it’s nothing to be concerned with) and shows no signs of slowing down. He’s the kind of companion who’ll greet you with enthusiasm every day and make every outdoor adventure infinitely more enjoyable.
