Noëlle the one-eyed beauty queen is up for adoption in The Netherlands.

This beautiful girl was dumped by her previous owners and was found inside a dumpster on Christmas Eve, desperately scrounging for food. Being a long-haired cat, she cannot survive the extreme summer heat on the streets of Bahrain so rescuing her before the temperatures soar was a must. Noëlle was taken to the vet straight away and it was discovered there that she had no teeth, which was very perplexing to the vets. Given that, we do not know how old she is, but the doctors estimate from looking at her face that she is between 2-3 years old.

Noëlle's eye was severely infected and despite the doctors trying to save it with medication, the infection had done too much damage, so sadly removal of her eye was the only option.

Noëlle is very friendly once she decompresses in her new home. Initially she will be very afraid and will spend most of the time hiding. After only 3 weeks of being in foster care, she now comes up to her humans for pets & really enjoys human company.

She's not very fond of other cats though and prefers to be an only cat. Given that she only has one eye, the way you approach her should always be from the front where she can see you coming. She does get over stimulated if you stroke her for too long and will react by scratching you, but once you learn her limits and triggers, you'll know when to stop petting her.

Learning her body language will happen over time and you might get a few scratches along the way, but it's not extreme and is definitely worth it. For this reason, Noëlle shouldn't be around children or other pets, and is more suited to a home with adults who take the time to learn how to approach her.

Noëlle is a very easy cat to have in your home, is to be kept indoor only, unless you have a fully enclosed garden, catio or balcony. Due to her lack of teeth, she is required to be on a wet food diet mainly, or you can feed her dry food soaked in warm water.

Noëlle is negative for FIV/FeLV, is spayed, microchipped, dewormed & vaccinated. Her adoption fee is €250 which is to be paid upon her arrival to your home.
