Messi and Benzi’s adoption should have been their happy ending—but it wasn’t. Earlier this year, they were adopted by a couple who seemed eager to welcome them into their lives. Sadly, within just a few days, it became clear the adopters weren’t ready for the commitment of two bonded cats. Through no fault of their own, Messi and Benzi were returned, their little hearts confused and broken.

Now back in foster care, these two brothers have been waiting patiently since September for the loving home they deserve. They don’t understand why they were let go, and neither do we. They’re the kind of cats that bring laughter and warmth to every corner of your life.
