Omschrijving
Meet Cuddly Bear “Cludo” - he is still looking for a forever home in the Netherlands.
Cludo was rescued after a photo of him lying on the pavement, appearing lifeless, was shared on social media. The image caught the attention of his rescuer, who rushed to the scene, fearing he was dead and wanting to at least remove his body from the public area. To her relief, Cludo managed to get up and started meowing. He had severe bite wounds on both sides of his neck, was infested with ear mites and fleas, and was extremely thin and dehydrated. His long coat concealed his frail, bony body, which was tangled with mats.
Cludo spent a month at the veterinary clinic recovering. During this time, it was determined that he is deaf—he won’t wake up from sounds unless he senses movement nearby. He is generally calm and quiet, but occasionally he will meow loudly, which is quite understandable for a deaf cat. His eyes tend to get dirty and require cleaning which is very common for a white long-haired cat.
Cludo has faced two adoption opportunities already that unfortunately fell through. Due to his deafness and the need for his eyes to be cleaned, both potential adopters decided to back out. It’s truly sad for Cludo, who is completely innocent and simply needs someone to care for him. He is exceptionally calm and quiet at home, and he’s as cuddly as a teddy bear. All he desires is a loving companion.
Cludo is very affectionate and craves attention exclusively from his human. He currently shares his home with three other cats but becomes jealous when they receive affection from his foster mom. When you sit down, he loves to jump into your lap and cuddle and sleeps with you in bed. He is very soft and loves to be carried in your arms like a baby. He doesn’t play much on his own, and rather spend his time sleeping. But he gets excited once you initiate playtime with him.
Cludo is estimated 4-5 years old and He is a fully an indoor cat only or an access into a fully catproofed balcony.
He is fully vaccinated against Tricat and Rabies, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for mycoplasma and FIV/FeLV.
