Omschrijving
Meet Milo, he is looking for forever home in the Netherlands.
Milo is estimated to be approximately 4 years old, and his story is a poignant reminder of the harsh realities of pet abandonment.
Milo's journey began when an elderly gentleman found him in the street and named him Milo. The gentleman initially fed him daily while living in the street. But one day, Milo showed up injured, limping and weak. An individual rescuer took him to the veterinary clinic for the necessary treatment where she was told that Milo’s injury could cause him limping his whole life but Milo came back fully healed, walking, running and jumping perfectly fine.
Currently, Milo resides in a foster home where his sweet temperament and energetic personality shine through. He is an absolute pleasure to be around, very curious and love to explore his surroundings. He enjoys playtime alone or with his human and snuggles. Despite being 4 years old, Milo is a ball of energy, and his calm demeanor makes him an ideal cat for those seeking a low-maintenance companion.
In terms of his care, Milo is relatively easy-going and adaptable. He coexists peacefully with female cats and children over the age of 8 but he doesn’t get along with male cats. His eyes are particularly prone to shedding tears, requiring regular cleaning to ensure his comfort. Additionally, Milo enjoys a varied diet that includes dry and wet food.
Milo is FIV-positive, which simply means he has a weakened immune system compared to other cats. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be transmitted to humans. It can only be transmitted to other cats through deep wound. With proper care, a nutritious diet, and regular vet check-ups, FIV-positive cats like Milo can live long, happy, and healthy lives. In fact, many FIV-positive cats don’t show symptoms at all and live just as long as non-FIV cats.
As for his living arrangements, Milo fully indoor cat only or has an access to a cat-proofed balcony.
He is already neutered, fully vaccinated against tricat and rabies, dewormed, and tested negative for mycoplasma. Notably, Milo has a positive test result for FIV and is negative for FeLV.
