Alfie

Meet Alfie, a sweet tabby looking for a forever home in the Netherlands.

Alfie was rescued from the streets of Bahrain as newborn. Born to a feral mother, she stood out as the only tabby among her siblings and was lovingly named Alpha Centauri B by her rescuer.

Alfie is 8 months old. Initially, she can be shy and wary of new faces and will tend to hide. However, once she learns to trust you, she becomes incredibly affectionate and will want to be by your side. It’s important to remember that Alfie prefers to approach on her own terms. She will communicate her discomfort by meowing but she has never shown any aggression towards human or other cats. With time and patience, you'll discover her sweet nature who loves to curl up in your lap, shower you with her gentle purrs, and request chin scratches. When she feels secure, she will often roll onto her back, showing you her spotty belly asking you to pet her.

Alfie enjoys her quiet time, often cozying up in her cat bed, a box, or even a basin. When her energy is down, she’ll snuggle under blankets or find a snug spot in a cat tunnel for a peaceful nap. A calm environment suits Alfie best; she is easily startled by sudden noises or loud music.
She loves the company of other cats, enjoy playful chases, wrestling matches, and cozy cuddles. When her siblings were away for a few days at the vet, she visibly missed them, meowing, roaming and searching for them, becoming clingy to her human, and showing little interest in food or water for few days.

Although she can become attached quickly to other cats, Alfie is also sensitive to bullying and will instinctively climb higher ground for safety. Thus, her ideal home would include other gentle cats, with careful and slow introductions and given enough time to adjust. That said, she can also adapt well as a single pet with the right care and love.

Alfie is not picky about her food—she enjoys both dry and wet cat food and has a fondness for vegetables like carrots, pumpkins, zucchini, and even boiled chicken breast. When it comes to hydration, she prefers sipping from a water fountain.

She is a fully indoor cat only or can have access into a fully catproofed balcony. She is fully vaccinated for both tricat and rabies, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for mycoplasma and FIV/FeLV.
