Meet Dobby: The Smart, Spirited Pup Who’s Always Ready to Play 🧠🐶

Dobby is a lively and intelligent girl with a contagious zest for life. Originally found during a neutering campaign in Ankara, Turkey, she briefly slipped through our fingers—only to cross our path again later, ready for her next chapter. And what a chapter it’s going to be!

Rescue Journey & Health:
Dobby’s journey is a testament to her resilient and adventurous spirit. Discovered, lost, and found again, she’s now in foster care and thriving. She’s in good health and recovering beautifully from her past, with no medical concerns. She's fully house-trained and adjusting incredibly well to home life.

Personality & Behavior:
Dobby is playful, energetic, and absolutely loves people and other dogs. She gets visibly excited when meeting new friends, always wagging and ready for a hello. While she’s full of energy, she’s not chaotic—she just needs the right outlet.

Highly intelligent and eager to learn, Dobby already responds to commands like sit, wait at crossings, and comes when called (at home). Mental stimulation is key—puzzle games and interactive toys are great ways to keep her mind engaged. Without regular stimulation and exercise, she may find her own entertainment... like a missing slipper or two! 😄

Three walks a day is her sweet spot. She’ll be calm and happy with the right structure and plenty of time outdoors.

Leash walking is a work in progress—Dobby pulls when she sees other dogs (she just wants to say hi!). But with distraction techniques or redirection, she follows easily and is improving every day. She barks occasionally, mostly at other dogs when indoors or to ask for attention, but she is never aggressive.

Toilet Training & Home Life:
Dobby adapted to toilet training almost immediately. Aside from one sedative-related (she was given light sedatives during her flight) accident on her first day, she’s been signaling when she needs to go out and aligns well with scheduled walks. She’s smart and responsive to routines.
