🌞Zeke’s Story – From Darkness to Hope

Zeke’s story is one of survival against all odds. In Turkey, breeds like Pit Bulls and Dogo Argentinos are banned, their lives often ending in kill shelters. Zeke was one of them. Zeke was captured from a kill shelter where horrific videos were leaked to the media.

His life, like that of so many others, was at the mercy of human decisions. Though Zeke was pulled from the shelter and he unknowingly became the victim of a hoarder this time. When we saw him for the first time, we were struck by the conditions—Zeke was confined to a tiny one-square-meter section with no chance to leave, no exercise, and no hope. But even in that tiny space, he shared a bond with his companion, Olive. Witnessing their suffering firsthand, we knew we couldn’t look away. Despite knowing the challenges ahead, we made the decision to rescue them both.

After two years of boarding in Turkey, Zeke and Olive finally arrived in the Netherlands to a foster home. Now, Zeke’s story is one of resilience and hope, and he’s ready to find his forever family.

This 4-year-old, medium-sized (20-27 kg) bundle of love is searching for a forever home where he can finally belong. He’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, happy to be near the people he loves most.

Zeke’s personality is a wonderful mix of affection and gentleness. He’s a true gentleman with a sweet and calm disposition, making him an easygoing companion. He gets along well with other dogs, particularly those with a relaxed, non-dominant temperament. He hasn’t yet been tested with children, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, we believe he could adjust well to a family environment and become a loving member of the household.

Zeke is ready to leave his past behind and embrace a life full of love, joy, and companionship. He’s eager for a second chance at happiness and dreams of a home where he’ll be cherished for the loyal and loving dog he truly is.
