Olive’s story is one of quiet strength and resilience. In Turkey, certain breeds like Pit Bulls and Dogo Argentinos are banned, and many dogs face the grim reality of kill shelters. Olive was one of the forgotten souls, trapped in such a place with no chance of escape. When we first encountered her, she was confined to a tiny one-square-meter section, sharing the space with her companion, Zeke. Their living conditions were heartbreaking—no space to move, no exercise, and no hope.

Though they were rescued from the shelter, Olive and Zeke became victims again, ending up in the hands of a hoarder. Despite the setbacks, we couldn’t turn away from Olive’s gentle spirit and her bond with Zeke. We made the decision to rescue them both, knowing the road ahead would be tough.

After two years of waiting in boarding in Turkey, Olive finally made it to the Netherlands, where she now has a chance to heal and start a new chapter in a loving foster home. Olive’s journey is a testament to resilience, and she’s ready to find her forever home where she can be cherished and loved.
