Omschrijving
Meet Matilda, she is looking for a forever home in the Netherlands.
Matilda is about 2 years old (in september '25). She was rescued during a Community Trap Neuter Return program. Although she was initially released back to her colony, her friendly and affectionate nature quickly became evident. She followed her rescuer back to her car, meowing as if to ask her not to leave her behind. It was then that her rescuer realized Matilda no longer wanted to stay outdoors.
Matilda simply craves love and companionship. At her foster home, she has been a well-behaved and calm girl. She loves to be close to her human and greets you with sweet meows when you arrive home. You can often hear her cheerful greetings from the other side of the door.
She enjoys sitting on your lap, quietly purring and giving gentle kisses as a sign of her affection.
She also enjoys her own space and playful moments. When you gently set her down from your arms or lap, she happily accepts it and finds a cozy spot of her own.
Matilda is easy to handle if you want to groom her by yourself; she allows nail trimming and ear cleaning effortlessly, as long as you are gentle with her. As a reward for her good behavior, she delights in creamy treats.
Generally, Matilda is a quiet kitty and may meow softly to let you know she’s ready for treats or if she’s looking for you and would love some cuddles.
She is strictly an indoor cat or should have access to a fully cat-proof balcony. She enjoys climbing, so a cat tree near the window would provide her with enriching stimulation throughout the day.
She has not been tested with other cats and dogs, so a home with no other pets is what we are looking for her. However, given her sweet nature, she may accept a cat companion as long as proper introduction is being followed. Given enough time and a lot of patience.
Matilda is fully vaccinated for tricat and rabies, spayed, microchipped, and has tested negative for mycoplasma and FIV/FeLV.
