Anna

Anna’s journey has been one of love and loss, strength and hope. Rescued in Turkey while pregnant, she lovingly raised her puppies—all of whom found homes. But like so many mother dogs, Anna was left behind.

She was adopted in the Netherlands earlier this year, but sadly, her adoption didn’t work out and she is now back in foster care. We are absolutely heartbroken 💔 for her, but we’re more determined than ever to find her true forever home—one where she will never be left behind again.

Anna is a loving, loyal dog who thrives when she feels secure and understood. She enjoys being near her person and will melt into you for pets and affection.

⚠️ What to Know

Anna has a small abdominal hernia that doesn’t need treatment and patella luxation in one hind leg which may need attention in the future.
In her previous home, she’s shown some reactivity:
• Barking at dogs at a distance during walks
• Barking at loud noises
• Jumping up on passersby

However, she responds well to treats, redirection, and calm leadership. With consistency, her behavior improves quickly.

💛 The Home We’re Looking For

We’re committed to getting it right this time—for Anna. That means finding a home where:
• Anna is the only dog (she may have a sibling later on if the family decides to, but at this time we want to ensure that she is the priority).
• Her humans have prior dog experience
• No children under 12
• Adopters understand rescue dogs may need time, space, and structure
• The family is financially stable and open to seeking professional help if needed

Anna is not a beginner’s dog—but she is a heart dog for the right person. She’s ready to give her whole heart to someone who sees her, understands her, and won’t give up on her.
