VANESSA: Deaf & Extremely Vocal, which resulted in her adoptions failing 4 times.
Vanessa the beauty queen is looking for a home as an only pet: she’s currently in Rotterdam.

Vanessa’s journey has been one of resilience and love. She was found abandoned in Bahrain and rescued by a kind-hearted lady. While Vanessa adored playing with the resident cats, her enthusiasm wasn’t mutual, and her inability to hear their signals made it difficult for them to coexist.

Vanessa was later adopted by a wonderful family as a companion for their cat. Sadly, despite their best efforts, it wasn’t the right match, and they had to make the tough decision to rehome her.
This is Vanessa’s 4th attempt at looking for a home. Her family is not able to tolerate her loud crying (please see the videos) and have decided to give her up. She did show improvements in her behaviour after they consulted a behaviorist but since they travel a lot, they feel that she would do best in a more stable environment.
The behaviorist has the following to say about Vanessa:
Vanessa is an easy-going cat and loves people. She loves attention and needs structure. Her meowing is not constant however it is learned behaviour that needs to be ignored so she does not continue it.
We feel she should do better in a bigger house with a cat-proofed garden as was the case in her foster’s home and she did very well there.

Vanessa is a one-of-a-kind kitty. Being deaf doesn’t slow her down—in fact, she’s incredibly smart and resourceful. You’ll be amazed at how she navigates her world, reaching high places you’d think were impossible and learning hand signs with ease. She’s playful, loves her toys, and thrives on cuddles and time spent with her humans.

Vanessa is also independent and does well being alone for stretches of time. However, she does need to be the only pet in the household.

Vanessa is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention, showering her new family with affection and charm. Could you be the special someone she’s waiting for?
