Marmalade

This little boy started life as a home kitten who was abandoned to become a stray, but he chose to fight for his chance of a better life. We found him in Bulgaria, hiding in the engine of a car, screaming loudly for help. The moment we pulled him out, he started purring and cuddled, enjoying the human company and touch. Our volunteer took him to the vet, then to a foster home where he immediately started to show his lovely personality.

We named him Marmalade due to the vibrant orange of his fur but also of his vibrant personality and smarts. He loves to be with people – to be pet and cuddled, and gives the loudest purrs when he is in your arms. He is also full of energy and has a sense of adventure – to play and to explore. And he has the healthy appetite of a growing kitten, not picky and glad to have a full tummy, but well mannered and knows how to use the toilet.

He and Stella make a wonderful couple, both playful and curious, and keep each other entertained with endless games. They are especially cute when they cuddle in sleep.

Marmalade has been living with a young child without a problem, and has also been exposed to a dog without issues.

He is chipped, has a passport and vaccinations required for international travel. His travel to the Netherlands will be covered by us. He is too young to be neutered, and if needed, support for that will be available when he is old enough for the procedure.

We are looking for a foster home to help us transition them from Bulgaria to a forever family in the Netherlands. We are open to discuss the arrangements with the potential foster parent(s) and to provide support if needed.
