Omschrijving
Meet Alfie – Your Spoiled Little Gingerbread Cookie
Alfie is an 8-month-old ginger Bahraini Dilmun boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Rescued as a tiny orphaned kitten, he spent most of his early life in a vet clinic cage being treated for ringworm. That slow, quiet start didn’t stop him from growing into the affectionate, energetic, and cheeky but shy young cat that he is today.
Alfie is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested negative for both mycoplasma and ringworm. He’s still a little too young to be tested for FIV/FeLV, but that can be done once he’s around a year old.
This boy is needy in the best way — he absolutely adores human attention and melts when you touch his ears or give him head scritches. He purrs instantly, curls up beside you on the sofa, and loves being part of whatever you’re doing (especially if it involves food). He’s also got a very chatty side — he’ll talk to you in (sometimes loud) bursts, especially around mealtimes, or when he needs to use the litter box he likes to make a big announcement about it, or if he feels like you’re not giving him enough attention. Occasionally it can get loud, but it’s usually short-lived and part of his charm; he is a Ginger kitty after all!
Alfie thrives on routine and eats three meals a day (he’s not fussy — loves both wet and dry food). If you’re out at work, an automatic feeder works perfectly for his midday meal.
He currently lives with five other cats and gets along with them, but he’s a rough player and tends to get overexcited. He’s also being bullied by one of the other cats, so we’re starting to think he’d do best as a solo cat — somewhere he can relax, be doted on, and not feel like he has to compete. A quiet home with someone who can give him lots of cuddles, playtime, and patience while he settles into his daily routine would be perfect.
Alfie can be shy with new people and will likely hide at first when he arrives at his forever home. But once he realizes he’s safe, he blossoms into the cuddliest, quirkiest companion. Just don’t leave your food unattended — he will steal it!
His adoption fee is €275, which helps cover a small portion of his veterinary care and relocation costs from Bahrain to the Netherlands. This fee is only due once he arrives in your home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, slightly spoiled ginger prince who’ll fill your home with chatter, love, and a bit of mischief — Alfie’s your guy :)
