Mama Bear is searching for her forever home in the Netherlands

Mama Bear’s story is one of heartbreak and resilience. She was found at the entrance of a shopping mall in Bahrain, being beaten by a young man. She had been dumped there by her previous owners and had given birth to three kittens outside the mall. Only one survived. Thankfully, one of our Rescat members arrived in time to stop the abuse and rush Mama Bear and her surviving kitten to safety.

Both spent over a month at the vet receiving treatment for Mycoplasma. Mama Bear was spayed, vaccinated, tested for everything, and given a clean bill of health. Since then, she’s been showered with love, good food, and gentle care to help her heal from her past and gain some much-needed weight. Her kitten is now thriving in another foster home, and they will be adopted separately, as they do better that way.

Mama Bear is truly an angel in disguise. She’s generally quiet and calm, but when you walk through the door, she’ll happily “chat” to you, sometimes in greeting, but most times to tell you off for leaving her alone! She adores being held like a baby, resting contently in your arms for as long as you’ll carry her. Most of the time, she’s perfectly content to curl up beside you on a soft blanket, purring away.

Despite the cruelty she’s endured, Mama Bear still trusts people deeply. It’s as if she knows that while some humans are unkind, others bring nothing but love, and she’s ready to give her heart to the latter.

Adoption details:
Mama Bear’s adoption fee is €275, payable upon her arrival to your home. This covers a portion of her vet care and relocation from Bahrain. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and Mycoplasma.
