Omschrijving
Hi there!
My name is Irma, and here is a little info about me. I hope my forever family reads this, because I'm really looking forward to finding my home.
Breed: Angora & Van Cat Mix
Age: 06..2023
Gender: Female
Rescue Story
Irma was pregnant when she was found in a mountainous area on the outskirts of the city. She perched high in a tree, hiding among the branches, surrounded by roaming dogs. We immediately took her to safety, and she gave birth to six kittens and nurtured them with unwavering love. She also accepted another orphaned kitten and nursed her, sharing her milk and care.
Given how wonderful she was as a mother, we can safely assume that that was not her first pregnancy. Her gentle and nurturing nature captured our hearts, and we knew we couldn’t let her return to the streets. All seven kitties found homes, now it’s Irma’s turn!
Personality
Meet Irma – A Balanced Soul with a Cuddly Heart 🐾
Irma is the perfect mix of calm, affection, and independence. Gentle and cuddly, but never demanding, Irma is a cat who thrives on balance. She enjoys closeness but also values her own space, making her the ideal companion for someone who wants affection without clinginess.
Despite her composed nature, Irma is also playful and affectionate. She loves curling up in your lap or arms, keeping you company while you’re studying, reading, or even doing yoga. She’ll happily watch birds for hours from a sunny window or a safe balcony, and sometimes she’ll bring you her toy rod to invite you to play. She may also wake you with gentle “mischief”— hopping up for attention—but never before a reasonable hour.
It’s impossible to know exactly when and where she was born, but vets estimate her age at around 2–3 years old. She carries herself with the grace and wisdom of a mature lady who knows life well. She respects your boundaries, and in return, she expects the same from you. If she’s not in the mood for kisses or cuddles, she’ll politely let you know with her lovely meow.
Irma can coexist with other cats if introduced slowly, but she clearly prefers being the only feline queen of the house. She has lived with dogs before, but a dog-free home would be a better fit where she can fully relax.
She entertains herself with toys, birdwatching, or mild zoomies in the evenings, but she also craves connection—through petting, brushing, or simply sharing the same space. Set clear house rules from the start, and you’ll find she’s respectful: she won’t bother your plants if she has her own herbs, and she stays off counters as long as she has her scratching post and cat tree.
When you return home, expect to be greeted by her signature “angry meows,” which are simply her funny way of saying, “I missed you—come give me a cuddle.”
She is ready for her new chapter, are you?
Potty trained: Yes
Health notes: Fully vet checked up, Spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Tested against FIV+ FELV and both negative.

Toelichting
Our adoption fee is EUR 275, which helps cover some of the expenses we've incurred, such as titer tests (to ensure the animal has enough antibodies against rabies), vaccinations, microchipping, etc. This fee covers only about 1/3 of the basic expenses.
