Omschrijving
Hi there. My name is Joy and here is a little info about me:
Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mix
Age: 2 years old
Gender: Female
Size: Large
Meet Joy – The Sweet Survivor With a Heart of Gold 💛
Joy’s story began in one of our regular feeding spots in Turkey. She wasn’t a resident street dog—most likely, she had been abandoned by a villager when she became sick. Sadly, this is all too common here: dogs who once guarded sheep or fields are often left behind when they need care.
When we found her, we suspected she wasn’t spayed, so we immediately brought her to the vet. During her checkup, we received the heartbreaking news that Joy had TVT, a type of cancer. Luckily, it’s one of the most treatable forms, and after several rounds of chemotherapy, Joy made a full recovery. ✨
After everything she endured, we just couldn’t return her to the streets. Instead, she’s been living safely in a kennel, waiting for the forever home she truly deserves.
What makes Joy so special is her gentle, undemanding nature. During all the weeks at the vet, she never barked, never caused trouble, never asked for anything. She simply accepted care with quiet gratitude. Even now, she remains the same—calm, affectionate, and endlessly loving.
- Pet her, and she’ll smile, roll onto her back, and offer you kisses.
- Give her a treat, and she’ll accept it gently.
- Hug her, and her smile grows even wider.
It’s as if she’s always saying: “I won’t cause you any trouble. Thank you for keeping me safe.”
Joy’s big, soulful eyes tell you everything—her gratitude, her love, her longing for a family of her own. And to top it all off, she has the most beautiful curly tail that seems to dance with joy every time she’s happy.
This precious girl has been through so much, yet she remains full of love. What she needs now is a home where she can finally be spoiled, cherished, and adored. Whoever opens their heart to Joy will gain not just a dog, but a true best friend—a gentle soul who will bring calm, warmth, and endless love into their life.
🐾 Joy is healthy, spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to travel for adoption.
