Gus

Meet our gentle fluff Gus – he is looking for his forever home in the Netherlands.

Sadly, Gus is just one of hundreds of unwanted house cats that rescuers like us encounter and care for every day.

He was found scared and alone in his rescuers neighbourhood, he was malnourished, hair in patches, half his tail was cut off and hissing at anyone going near him. He would hide in a corner scared of being bullied by the other cats. He was very scared of the outside world that he is not used to.

After a few feeding sessions, he trusted his rescuer enough to follow her into her garden where he feels safe. There, he started showing his sweet personality and love human attention. He would bravely approach anyone who come to see him and would rub himself all over you and let you pick him up.
Gus has become friends with his rescuers' dogs and cats, being introduced to them properly, and he has no issues at all.

He has since moved to a foster home where he lives with several cats. Initially, he may hiss if he's not comfortable, but once he realizes he's safe, he will relax and settle down. Gus can be a bit shy around new people and in unfamiliar environments, often hiding at first. However, once he feels comfortable with you, he’ll come over and sit in your lap. He is definitely a lap cat and will knead on you until he falls asleep there.

He can be in a home with another cat as long as slow and proper introduction is being followed and given enough time to adjust.

Gus is estimated 3 to 4 years old. He is fully vaccinated for bot tricat and rabies, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for mycoplasma and FIV/FeLV.

He is an indoor cat only or an access to a fully catproof balcony.
He is currently in Bahrain and is ready to travel as soon as home is found for him.
