Meet Kopuk – Our One-Eyed Beauty with a Heart of Gold 💛

Kopuk, whose name means foam in Turkish, was born in the countryside where she was cared for as a beloved community dog. Neighbors fed her, loved her, and she grew up surrounded by kindness. But one day, tragedy struck—we received the devastating news that she had been hit by a car. Our beautiful girl lost one of her eyes in the accident, and for a moment, we wondered how she could go on. But Kopuk amazed us all. She never lost her enormous heart or her love for life. She showed us that nothing could dim her spirit.

When she came into our care, she was skin and bones, and a vet check revealed she was also battling blood parasites. With treatment and care, she fully recovered, and we placed her in a kennel where she could finally be safe. Over the past year, she has flourished there, making many friends and enjoying every moment of companionship.

Kopuk is not only special for her gentle soul but also for her beauty. With her soft cream-colored coat, her kind eyes, and her unique one-eyed look, she turns heads wherever she goes. There is a quiet elegance in her presence, and her smile—yes, she really does smile—has the power to melt hearts instantly. Kopuk is a living reminder that true beauty shines from within, and hers glows brighter than ever.

She adjusts beautifully to any environment and has a unique, funny habit—she loves to copy other dogs. We’ve seen her pick up spoiled behaviors from one friend, then drop them to imitate another’s jealous antics. These days, she lives with dogs much smaller than herself, and she’s become their big sister, playing gently and kindly despite being three times their size. She is good on the leash, and during her life on the street, she lived among many stray cats without ever chasing them. Even after her time in the kennel, we believe she will remain the same gentle friend to every living being.

She loves treats, kibble—really, anything to eat—which makes her quick to learn and eager to please. Above all, Kopuk doesn’t ask for much. All she wants is love, security, and a home to finally call her own. After everything she’s been through, this one-eyed beauty deserves her happy ending.
