Dikkie Dik is a sweet cat but we didn’t know she would react strongly against a new little kitten. It’s been now 4 years since we struggled to have her accomodating with the new cat, but she is very unhappy. Normally, she was used to litter box, however, since 1-2 years she was afraid to use the litter box as she is always running from the other cat. If she is the only cat in the house, that is not a problem at all for her. But our son grew veey attached by the other cat so now we want to find another good home for Dikkie Dik.

Toelichting
As explained in the behavior section, the main challenge is that she became very unhappy for a while now and cannot get used to the other cat. This is now the situation for over 2 years; she prefers to stay outside rather than be in the house with the other pet. This is not pretty for her although of course we have made a nice accomodation for her also in the garden. The good part is that she can be sociable if she doesn’t feel threatened, she never scratched or bitten, and she can live in the house or outside, but if inside, she needs to be the only pet to feel safe. That is why we are looking for a new home for her.
