Omschrijving
Hi there!
My name is Sushi, and here is a little info about me. I hope my forever family reads this, because I'm really looking forward to finding my home.
Breed: Tabby
Age: 08.2021
Gender: Male
Meet Sushi – Our Gentle Three-Legged Survivor 🐾
Sushi’s story is one of resilience. He was once a stray cat in Turkey, until someone found him with one of his back legs brutally cut off. The vet later confirmed what we could hardly believe – it was done by a human. 💔
At first, the people who thought they “saved” him handed him over to a woman who claimed to care for disabled cats. In reality, she was a hoarder. When we visited her place, the sight was unbearable – dozens of cats crammed into a single room, without proper care. We rescued every cat from that space, and that’s how Sushi came into our lives.
Sushi has been with us for 2.5 years now. Understandably, he was shy and withdrawn at first. After everything he endured, how could he not be? But over time, Sushi has shown us that love and patience can heal even the deepest wounds. 💕
Sushi is not a lap cat or the cuddly type. He usually prefers laying on the couch near you, watching quietly, or keeping a bit of distance. He’s not easy to pick up, but he does love taking treats gently from your hand and enjoys cozy, peaceful evenings in your presence. He is calm, quiet, and rarely meows. At first, he may hide when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he slowly comes out of his shell.
He gets along wonderfully with other cats and actually trusts feline friends more than humans. That’s why a home with another friendly cat could help him feel more comfortable.
This brave boy with three legs deserves a chance. Will you be the one to give Sushi the loving home he’s been waiting for? 🐱❤️
Potty trained: Yes
Health notes: Fully vet checked up, Neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Tested against FIV&FELV, both negative.
Our Process

2. Online Interview You'll receive a link to choose a convenient time for a Google Meet call.
3. Home Video As the final step, we kindly ask for a home video showing the future living environment of the animal.
Please note: We only proceed with candidates who complete all three steps. If needed, we are happy to provide a consent form.

Toelichting
The adoption fee is €275.
Rescue work comes with significant costs, often ranging up to €1,500 per cat. These expenses include medical care —along with core vaccinations (Rabies and PCH), microchip, passport, deworming, defleaing, and other essential treatments. Every cat is also spayed or neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, and receives a rabies titer test to confirm sufficient antibodies. On top of that, there are costs for the plane ticket, paperwork, carrying box, and harness to ensure a safe journey to their forever home.
All of this is covered primarily through limited donations. The adoption fee only covers a small portion of the basic expenses, so any additional contribution from adopters helps enormously. While there is absolutely no obligation to give more than the adoption fee, every extra bit of support makes a real difference and allows us to continue saving lives. 💕
