Omschrijving
Simone may only have one eye, but she sees the world with nothing but love, joy, and curiosity. Rescued in poor condition from the streets of Ankara, she underwent eye removal surgery—and hasn’t looked back since. She’s adjusted beautifully, and if anything, her one-eyed charm only adds to her character.
Simone is a playful, affectionate, and social young dog who’s now looking for a forever home where she can keep blooming.
Personality & Home Life
Simone is a total lovebug. She craves affection and isn’t shy about asking for it—whether it’s cuddling, climbing into your lap, or gently leaning into you for pets. She’s also very playful and adores interacting with other animals. From day one, she got along wonderfully with her foster family’s dog and cat. Despite being younger, she’s often the more energetic one.
While she had some chewing tendencies in her first week, this has improved a lot with chew toys and guidance. She learns quickly by watching the resident dog, picking up things like going up and down stairs, sitting, or giving paw.
She’s house-trained and respectful around food. Occasionally, she may try to “save” unfinished snacks, but she has shown no guarding behavior.
Outdoors & Behavior
Simone loves to explore. During her first week outside, every sound and scent was new—but by week two, she started settling into a routine. She enjoys sniffing plants and paths, and shows only curiosity—not aggression—towards cats or other small animals. If she can’t get close to a cat, she may whimper a little, but never lunges or barks.
On leash, she initially pulled more (especially with a harness), but since switching to a collar, she’s improved greatly. With treats and encouragement, she now waits at crossings and pulls much less—though the first outing of the day still brings some excitement.
She has no signs of prey drive and doesn't dig aggressively, though she loves a good root-around in the soil.
