Daisy

Daisy is a gentle and loving Golden Retriever–Rottweiler mix who was rescued from a local shelter about two years ago. When we first found him, he was suffering from a severe papilloma infection that affected his entire mouth and surrounding tissues. After proper medical care and lots of love, he made a full recovery and is now a healthy, happy, and resilient dog.

He has a calm and friendly temperament — affectionate, curious, and eager to please. Daisy gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys socializing and making new canine friends. Because he is currently living in a kennel, he has not had the opportunity to meet cats, so his behavior towards them is still unknown.

Although Daisy has never lived in a home before, he adapts quickly to new environments and routines. He knows some basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, and is always eager to learn. He is medium-energy — he enjoys his daily walks and some playtime but is also content relaxing next to his human friends. Daisy does not show signs of anxiety and is comfortable traveling by car.

We are currently looking for a caring foster family who can offer Daisy a safe and loving environment while he continues to learn about home life. His ideal foster home would be calm and structured, with people who have some experience with dogs or are willing to guide him with patience and kindness. A home without small children or with older children (12+) would be best, as Daisy appreciates a peaceful environment.

This sweet boy has overcome a difficult start in life and is now ready to experience what it feels like to be part of a family — even if only for a while. As a foster, you will be giving him the chance to build confidence, receive personal attention, and prepare for his forever home. In return, Daisy will fill your days with gratitude, affection, and gentle companionship.
