Lucy

Lucy is a gentle and resilient medium-sized mixed-breed dog who was rescued from a local state shelter two years ago. When we first met her, she was completely shut down — as if she had lost all hope. Although her condition seemed serious, we decided to give her a second chance. After two months of proper medical treatment and care, Lucy made a full recovery.

Today, she is a healthy, happy, and affectionate girl who loves being around people and other dogs. She enjoys running, playing, and going for walks, but also knows how to relax and enjoy quiet moments. Lucy has a calm and balanced temperament, and she quickly bonds with people who show her kindness.

Lucy currently lives in a temporary shelter environment, so she hasn’t had much experience living inside a home yet. However, she is a smart and adaptable dog who learns routines quickly. She knows how to walk on a leash.

We are looking for a foster family who can give Lucy a safe, structured, and loving environment while she prepares for her forever home. Her ideal foster would be someone patient, caring, and willing to guide her as she experiences home life for the first time. A calm household, with or without other dogs, and older children (12+) would be ideal. We haven't had the chance to see how Lucy gets along with little kids or cats yet.

Lucy fought hard to survive and has shown incredible strength and gratitude. She deserves to feel the love and warmth of a real home — even temporarily. By fostering her, you won’t just be giving her a place to stay; you’ll be helping her take one big step closer to her forever family. In return, Lucy will reward you with affection, loyalty, and endless gratitude.
