Meet Doris, a gentle little soul who’s come a very long way from her life on the streets of Bahrain and is now looking for her Golden Basket in The Netherlands or Belgium.

When she was first rescued, Doris was a small, frightened kitten who only dared to come out at night — hungry, cautious, and unsure if the world could ever be kind. Every evening, she appeared quietly at her rescuer’s garage, waiting at a distance until trust began to bloom. Over two months of patience and gentle care, Doris finally allowed herself to be picked up and brought inside to safety — and from that moment, her new life began.

Today, Doris is a picture of transformation. She’s a confident, curious, and endlessly sweet young cat who adores the comfort of home life. She’s the first to arrive at mealtimes (because a lady should never be late for dinner), and once her belly’s full, she’s either chasing her toys in a flash of zoomies or sprawled out belly-up in a sunbeam without a care in the world.

She’s affectionate and happy in the company of people, other cats, and even dogs. Though she hasn’t yet met children, her calm and gentle nature suggests she’d be perfectly fine with respectful little ones. She enjoys being petted, purrs instantly at your touch, and may one day become a lap cat once she chooses her person and feels completely at home.

Doris is a joyful presence — playful, graceful, and full of quiet affection. She will make a wonderful companion for anyone ready to give her the loving forever home she truly deserves.

She is indoor-only, and any outdoor area she has access to must be fully cat-proofed for her safety.

Doris is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated (including rabies), microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her adoption fee is €275, which goes towards covering a small portion of her vet and relocation costs from Bahrain. Her fee is only due upon her arrival to your home.
