Hi there!
My name is Saso, and here is a little info about me. I hope my forever family reads this, because I'm really looking forward to finding my home.
Breed: White Orange
Age: 04.2024
Gender: Male
✨ Meet Saso — our charming, cross-eyed angel looking for his forever home ✨
Saso gets his name from his adorable cross-eyed look. He was born this way, and it doesn’t affect his daily life or happiness in any way — it just makes him uniquely cute.
Saso’s journey hasn’t been easy. He lived on the streets in one of the toughest cities in Eastern Turkey, where life is especially hard for animals. Locals knew him as the “Gratis Cat” because he lived inside a shop called Gratis and became a little mascot for the customers. Everyone loved him.
One day, when Saso suddenly became ill, one of the shop workers took him to the vet. That’s when they discovered he was FIV positive. After receiving medical care, he travelled all the way to Istanbul, where a foster family took him in and helped him recover. His latest blood tests show that he is healthy — he is simply an FIV carrier.
Being a carrier does not mean he is sick. He can live a completely normal life without any special treatment beyond good quality food — just like any other cat.
And Saso gives back so much love in return. He is deeply affectionate, gentle, and endlessly cuddly. Saso wants to be close to his human at all times — he’ll follow you from room to room, even if he is sleeping. His biggest weakness? A tiny spoon of canned food. With that, he will do absolutely anything for you.
Saso loves being held, petted, and talked to. He doesn’t like sleeping alone — he prefers curling up right next to you, enjoying long, warm cuddles. His nature is calm, peaceful, and loving. He is the kind of cat who makes a house feel like a home.
FIV may sound scary, but many FIV+ cats live long, healthy, and happy lives. Saso is one of those cats — full of life, hope, and endless gratitude.
Whoever adopts Saso will gain a loyal shadow, a gentle friend, and a cuddle partner for life.
If you’re searching for a cat who will love you with all his whole heart, Saso is waiting for you. 🖤✨
Potty trained: Yes
Health notes: He is fully vet-checked, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. He has been tested for both FIV and FeLV — he is FeLV negative and FIV positive as a carrier only. He is not sick and currently shows no symptoms; he simply carries the virus.
Our Adoption Process
1. Initial Screening Form: We'll send you a screening form to collect essential information.
2. Online Interview: You'll receive a link to choose a convenient time for a Google Meet call.
3. Home Video: As the final step, we kindly ask for a home video showing the future living environment of the animal.
Please note: We only proceed with candidates who complete all three steps. If needed, we are happy to provide a consent form.

Toelichting
Our adoption fee is €275.
This contribution helps cover a portion of the essential veterinary and travel expenses such as titer testing (to ensure sufficient rabies antibodies), vaccinations, microchipping, and other mandatory procedures.
However, this fee represents only about one-third of the total basic costs.
Rescuing and preparing a single cat for adoption typically costs us €1,000–€2,000. For this reason, any additional donation is greatly appreciated, as it allows us to continue helping more animals in need.
Our required adoption fee remains €275, and we kindly request it after your cat has safely arrived at your home.
