Darla – A Sweet Young Girl Looking for a Loving Foster Home in the Netherlands

Darla has never had a real home, and she truly deserves one — even if just temporarily. We are looking for a kind, patient, and loving foster family in the Netherlands who can help her take her first steps into home life.

A warm bed, gentle guidance, and a bit of routine will mean the world to her.

• Relationship with People: Darla is a gentle and loving girl. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone new, but just a few minutes of kindness is enough for her to open up and show her sweet, affectionate side.

• Relationship with Dogs: Very friendly and playful.

• Relationship with Cats: Calm and compatible.

• Relationship with Children: She is gentle with children; however, because of her initial shyness, a home with children over 12 would be ideal.

• Obedience / Commands: She is just starting to learn, and because she loves treats, she picks things up quickly.

• Potty Training: She has grown up in a shelter, so this will be new for her — but she is eager to learn.

• Anxiety or Insecurity: No anxiety issues, only a bit of timidity at first.

• Size: Medium-size (~20 kg)

• Hunting Instinct: None observed

• Activity Level: Calm and gentle overall, but she becomes wonderfully playful around other dogs. She loves bouncing around — her little happy jumps are her signature move.

• Leash Walking: She is learning and improving every day.

• Stairs: She will likely learn without any issues.

• Attachment to Owner: She bonds easily and loves human affection.

Her Story
Darla was found as a tiny puppy, and sadly, her siblings didn’t survive. She has grown up in a shelter ever since. Despite everything, she remained loving, gentle, and trusting. She adores other animals, enjoys human warmth, and her playful little jumps make everyone smile. She’s a young girl who just needs a chance — a safe place where she can finally feel what “home” means.
