Meet Chess – She is looking for her forever home in the Netherlands.

Chess was rescued when she was found very ill, curled up in a corner and barely able to move. She was extremely fragile, suffering from a severe fungal infection that required three months of treatment at the vet. Thanks to care and recovery, she is now healthy and ready to find her forever home.

Chess is an affectionate kitty over 2 years old of age. She loves to be close to her human at home. While she enjoys being petted, she may initially shy away when you touch her back if she’s not familiar with you yet. However, once she feels safe, she will love having you nearby. She enjoys sitting on your lap, being carried in your arms, and when you're doing tasks, she may hug your back or ride piggyback. She also enjoys resting on your shoulder.

Currently, Chess shares her home with multiple cats, but she can get jealous when you give attention to others, sometimes chasing them away. She would be happy as the only pet in the household. She is a quiet girl—her voice is rarely heard, but she will meow if she feels scared. She also values alone time, sitting quietly by herself when she’s tired or sleepy. But most of the time, you'll find her happily sitting on your lap, content and peaceful.

Chess is an indoor cat or can have access to a fully cat-proof balcony or secured garden. She is not hyperactive and is perfectly happy indoors.

She is fully vaccinated for both Tricat and Rabies, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, tested negative for mycoplasma and FIV/FeLV. She is ready to travel as soon as suitable home is found for her.
