Oosha

Oosha is a very special dog with a beautiful personality and a big heart. I took her from the streets in Russia in 2020. when she was approximately 6 months old. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, joyful, and loyal. Oosha is very people-oriented and loves being close to her humans. She enjoys playing, but she is just as happy lying calmly in your arms or on your lap.

Oosha fully complies with all Dutch and EU import and residency requirements and has been living in Amsterdam for over 3 years. She has an EU pet passport, is properly registered, and has received all required vaccinations, including rabies and has a rabies titer test as well.

Oosha absolutely loves people and especially adores children. She is playful and affectionate, which makes her a wonderful family dog. At the same time, she would also be perfectly happy living with a single person who can give her love, stability, and attention. She is a true companion dog who thrives on close emotional bonds.

Oosha does have some anxiety-related sensitivities, but they are manageable and do not interfere with everyday life. Because of this, she is best suited for a home without other dogs. With people – both adults and children – she is open, loving, and social. One way her anxiety shows is that she prefers to sleep in the same room as her person at night, as this helps her feel safe and relaxed.

During walks, Oosha may bark at other dogs. This is not aggression, but a warning bark rooted in insecurity. She does not show aggressive behavior. She may also bark when unfamiliar people come into the home, as sudden changes in routine can be stressful for her. Outside of these situations, Oosha is calm, well-behaved, and easy to live with.

At home, she is clean and well-behaved. She does not destroy things, is house-trained, and fits easily into daily life. She mainly needs affection, consistency, and emotional closeness.

Recently, Oosha developed an allergy. She currently receives monthly allergy injections, which manage her symptoms well. Without them, she may experience itching. She also eats hypoallergenic dry food. Together with the veterinarian, we are still working to identify the exact cause, but her condition is stable and well under control.

The decision to rehome Oosha has been extremely difficult. Due to changes in my life circumstances and the presence of other animals, I am no longer able to give her the calm, predictable environment she needs to feel fully secure. Her well-being is my highest priority, and this decision comes from love and responsibility, not lack of care.

It is very important to me to stay in touch with Oosha's future family. I am happy to offer ongoing support, including advice, help with care, and financial support for her needs if necessary. I am also willing to help with dog-sitting for Oosha if ever needed.

Oosha is an exceptional dog – kind, affectionate, and deeply loyal. She will thrive in a warm, loving home where she can feel safe and truly be someone’s best friend.
