Timmy

Our dog is a 2.5-year-old Labrador / Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix. He is a real sweetheart with a gentle character. He can be a little shy/scared with new people at first, but after a few minutes he warms up and becomes very friendly and affectionate.

He is crate trained and knows the basic commands (sit, stay, down, etc.). He learns very fast and picks up new training quickly, especially with positive reinforcement. He loves being active and doing things together.

He can stay alone up to 8 hours (or a bit more) without problems, as long as he has had his walk and routine. He is also not destructive at all (he doesn’t chew furniture or destroy things when left alone).

He enjoys long walks and especially loves swimming (canal/lake). He is social and really enjoys being around other dogs.

What we are looking for: a loving home with people who can give him daily walks, attention and mental stimulation. Ideally a home with a backyard where he can play. A person/family who enjoys outdoor activities would be perfect, and someone who can take him swimming occasionally is a big plus. We prefer an adopter with dog experience, especially with active breeds.

We are rehoming him because we will be moving back to Sri Lanka, and we want to find him the best possible home where he will get the stability and daily care he deserves.
