Meet Esto: The Chillest Big Boy with a Cuddly Heart 🐾🛋️

Esto is the kind of dog who turns every couch into a throne and every cuddle into a ritual. He may look like a classic Anatolian mix, but his personality is anything but intimidating—he’s a gentle, goofy, easy-going soul who just wants a soft place to land and a human (or two) to adore.

🐾 Background & Rescue Journey

Esto was found in Ankara, Turkey sick and in poor condition. He was taken into care and treated, then moved to a boarding facility where he spent many months recovering and building his strength. Later, he was placed in a foster home in Ankara to help with his socialization. Now, he's in the Netherlands and ready to find his forever family.

💛 Personality & Behavior

Esto is affectionate, cuddly, and surprisingly lazy for his size. He’s more of a chill-on-the-sofa kind of guy than a zoom-around-the-house dog—but he does occasionally get the zoomies and grab a pillow for playtime (don’t worry, he drops it as soon as you correct him and prefers to stick to his own toys).

He’s great with people—friendly, gentle, and calm. He doesn’t bark unnecessarily and hasn't shown destructive behaviors. He's very good in his crate, enjoys having a quiet space to retreat to, and handles being alone like a pro.

Esto can get a little nervous in small indoor spaces with other dogs. Outside, he's sociable and polite with dogs on walks and in open spaces, but inside the home, he may feel insecure if another dog is around. For this reason, we are currently looking for a dog-free or calm single-dog household.
