Meet Barbie 🎀🐾 — A Survivor Full of Love
Barbie is a stunning tuxedo girl with a heart as big as her story. She is gentle, affectionate, and deeply connected to people — the kind of cat who doesn’t just live with you, but truly shares life with you.
We found Barbie when she was just a tiny kitten, only about 3 months old, abandoned at a government shelter and very close to losing her life. When we brought her to a veterinary clinic for a full health check, she was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a diagnosis that sounds frightening, but one that is now treatable.
Barbie had the neurological form of FIP and went through a full treatment course with FIP cure tablets. She responded beautifully to treatment and has been FIP-free for over a year. During this entire time, we have not observed any relapse or FIP-related symptoms.
Barbie does not have FIP anymore. Due to the neurological form she had as a kitten, she occasionally leaves a small part of her poop just outside the litter box. We understand this may sound concerning, but after fostering her for a long time, we can confidently say this is not a major issue and does not affect her quality of life. It’s simply a small, manageable quirk — and certainly not a reason for her to miss out on a loving home.
Barbie is pure love. She is incredibly cuddly, human-oriented, and affectionate. Barbie adores being around people and prefers to stay close — whether that means following you around the house, curling up beside you, or stretching out happily while you pet her. She purrs loudly and enthusiastically, clearly expressing just how much she enjoys human touch.
Barbie is curious and engaged with her surroundings. She loves hanging out with you, watching what you do, and being part of everyday life. She is a true loyal companion, the kind of cat who forms a deep bond and gives back love tenfold. After everything she’s been through, Barbie still chooses to trust, to love, and to connect — and that makes her truly special.
Barbie is looking for an understanding home — one that sees her not as a diagnosis or a past, but as the loving soul she is today. We, as a rescue, continue to support our animals in every possible way and will always be there for guidance and questions.
Barbie has been under our care for more than a year, and now she is more than ready for her forever home. She deserves stability, warmth, and a family who will cherish her the way she cherishes humans.
If you’re looking for a cat who will love you deeply, follow you loyally, and fill your home with purrs and affection — Barbie is waiting for you. 🎀🐾

Toelichting
Our adoption fee is €275.
This contribution helps cover a portion of the essential veterinary and travel expenses such as titer testing (to ensure sufficient rabies antibodies), vaccinations, microchipping, and other mandatory procedures.
However, this fee represents only about one-third of the total basic costs.
Rescuing and preparing a single cat for adoption typically costs us €1,000–€2,000. For this reason, any additional donation is greatly appreciated, as it allows us to continue helping more animals in need.
Our required adoption fee remains €275, and we kindly request it after your cat has safely arrived at your home.
