Igor is a beautiful and educated German sherperd. He used to live in the French country side and enjoy long walks in the vineyards with his owner and other dogs. A tragic event forced me to change life. My husband, Igor's official owner died and i moved my kid and dog in the Netherlands for professional reasons. As i am a single mom and a foreigner i cannot live in the country side. I walk Igor 1:30 per day, but only on leash and the more we move forward the less he is happy. He becomes more and more réactive with other dogs on leash. Hé needs more freedom and space... I think je would be happier in the country side with an owner who knows german shepherd and can offer him love and space...
Igor has always been followed by is French vet so far and did not présent any symptoms of anything until now. So hé has no Dutch vet yet. We made the last visit in July before moving, hé is in perfect health. He has an ICAD number. That goes with the chip and his passeport.
Igor is playful, very very very active. First thing in the morning, we go to Westerhout where i throw him sticks so that he can run and play in a "wild" space. Then, he stays alone at home because i go to the office. And when i am back, we go on a long walk in Alkmaar. Then we stay at home and cuddle. After dinner, we do a very last quick walk just for pee/pooh..
Igor is very Nice with humans, never ever showed a sign of aggressivity. He is more and more réactive with other dogs, pulls hard on the lash when he sees a dog.. however he never had biten any dogs. Tends to charge the cats as a bull as well. But Guess what, he never won.
It is a kind dog, very emotional (german sherperd), kind of indépendant. Even when he was with a pack in our old life, he would mind his own business while the other play.
What else ? You can contact me and we can chat. We can go on a walk with the dog to see if things are going well. Igor definitely needs more Space than i can offer, and a wilder environnement that would allow him to run freely... As it is a working line dog, he would need also some work.

I do not want any money - but i want to make sure the new owners are very serious about the adoption so i am not giving Igor away. I would request that a donation is made to verhuisdiern of an association of protection to seal the adoption of Igor. The amount that i would request to be donated to verhuisdieren is 200 euros.
As described in Igor's profile, the dog is sweet but needs space and exercice and i cannot offer him what he deserves. We adopted him as a married couple living in the country side, i am now a widowed mum living in the city. Igor starts to be réactive with other dogs, probably because he is freaking out being always on leash. Happy to discuss it and to organise meetings with the dog before any decision is made. I would ask that a sum of money goes to the association (not to me) just to make sure the future owner is very serious about this adoption.
