Bennie

My partner and I adopted Bennie with the best intentions earlier this year but we have come to accept that we are not the right home for him. Bennie is a great dog and after talking a lot and we have accepted that our home is not what he needs so we are looking for a new home for him.

He is a very affectionate (really, his happy place is on your lap) and trusting dog (from the first night he was sleeping with his head on our shoulders), he loves learning new things and is not destructive, he is house broken and is not afraid of people. He is in general a great dog but Bennie is very sensitive to sounds and deals with a lot of fear of the outside. We live in the center of Rotterdam which means that there is always something going and despite our best intentions and training, we don't think we are what he needs. He is not afraid of the leash but as soon as we leave the house for him to "do his business" he immediately wants to go back inside and since live in an apartment, a yard is not an option.

He is a great dog, we are just not the right home for him. We are asking for a small adoption fee as a formality, we have a lot of toys and treats and things that he likes, he would be leaving our house with a lovely care package.
