Maat

Maat didn’t arrive in our lives with noise or demand. She simply appeared, fragile and far too thin, among a group of stray cats we care for. One look at her was enough to know she needed something different… something more.
We took her in for neutering, thinking we’d return her like the others. But some stories don’t go backwards and Maat’s was clearly meant to change direction.
She’s a gentle, quiet soul who prefers her own space. Other animals aren’t really her thing, but people? She trusts them. She leans into kindness. She’s especially soft and patient with children, as if she understands she’s finally safe.
