Omschrijving
These are two cats with a very special story — one of rescue, survival, and true friendship.
Two refugee cats from Ukraine; you can read their story below. We are looking for a calm, loving home for them together, because they are truly inseparable.
We found Diesel in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
He was just a tiny kitten, sitting alone near a large puddle by a police station. He was scared, hiding in the bushes, and wouldn’t let anyone touch him. But we couldn’t just walk past — we caught him and brought him home, where he met our first cat, Ozzy.
A few years later, in the yard of our home, we heard a desperate squeak.
Under a car was a tiny kitten with severely infected eyes — he was completely blind. That was Harley.
We took him home and started a long treatment. One eye was saved, but...

Toelichting
When the war in Ukraine began, we left Kharkiv and took all our cats with us.
At that time, we had a six-month-old baby, and it was me, my husband, our little daughter, and three cats in carriers. It was an extremely difficult and stressful time for both us and the animals.
Later, we moved the cats to my parents’ home. They already had another cat there, also rescued by us.
When we moved to the Netherlands, my parents agreed to keep the cats.
However, at the end of 2025, the situation became unsafe due to military activity, and we had to urgently evacuate them to Germany. At that time, the Netherlands did not accept refugees with pets, and this is still the case. However, since we live here, we recently took the cats in temporarily so that we can find them a new home. We quickly arranged all documents, vaccinations, and microchips required for travel in Europe.
Right now, my parents are living in temporary accommodation in one room with four cats and my grandmother. Over the past months, they have had to move several times, and each move is a huge stress for the cats. Finding permanent housing with animals in Germany is extremely difficult. Recently, we have taken the cats back under our care, as I mentioned. However, due to the ongoing housing crisis and the uncertainty of our situation in a new country, we are unfortunately not able to keep and support all three cats long-term.
We ourselves live in rented accommodation in Rotterdam and unfortunately cannot take all the animals with us due to rental restrictions.
Since our oldest cat prefers to live alone and is already quite old, we decided to take him back. For Diesel and Harley, we want to give the most important thing — a calm, stable, and safe life without constant moves and stress.
This decision is very difficult for us, but it comes from love and care for them.
The adoption fee is €100 for both cats together (not per cat). This amount is not about selling them, but rather a small contribution towards their past travel and medical expenses. It also helps ensure serious and responsible interest from potential adopters. We will choose their future family very carefully — it is important to us that they find their perfect home.
