Jose and his brother Pepe were taken to a municipal shelter in Ankara as puppies. We already knew them from local feeding rounds—they were always very shy and fearful dogs. When they were taken to the shelter, we stepped in, rescued them, and had them neutered. After spending about a year in boarding, they recently arrived in the Netherlands around 2.5 weeks ago.
Jose is now living in a foster home in Amsterdam, where he is slowly discovering home life for the first time—and making beautiful progress every day.
