Porcini urgently needs to find his forever home by the end of July if possible:
Porcini is a sweet and loving dog who loves to chill with you in the house just as much as he loves to play fetch with a ball. He's looking for someone who will love him and help him feel safe. Rescued from a kill shelter from the States, he came to his current family with a lot of anxiety and fear. This was during the pandemic and he was not properly socialized. While he loves his family and protects everyone from strangers, he has developed an over-protective behavior with the mother of our family. The children and her partner can't approach her safely and it isn't healthy for anyone, most of all Porcini. There was a behavior tech involved, but the conclusion was that he needs a calm home with no children...

Porcini has become overprotective with the mother in our family to the point that others can not safely approach her. When away from the mother he can play, go for walks and rest peacefully. He is slow to become used to new people but will learn to trust over time with careful handling.
