Ludo

If Ludo could talk, he would tell incredible stories of adventures around the world like a feline James Bond - how he, a little kitten born in the Netherlands, was adopted by his human dad and became his trusted companion as his job moved him across Europe to America and back to Europe, currently living in Sofia, Bulgaria.

And how after 13 years together, one night his dad went to the hospital and didn’t come back. And how Ludo is still mourning him, and how his little world with a well established routine changed overnight. And how hard it is to adapt to at his age to live with strangers who don’t know how he likes his food and how to be petted.

Can you help this older gentleman with a grumpy face and a heart of gold live his final years in peace and comfort back in his home land? We are looking for a foster home to help him move from Bulgaria to the Netherlands and to look for a forever home. Fostering to adoption is also possible.

Ludo is not high maintenance, he prefers to rest and observe the world around him. But when in the mood, he comes for cuddles and has the sweetest purr.

He doesn’t like change in his routine and can be anxious and stressed until he adapts, so a home where he can be an only pet and where his needs will be understood and supported with patience will be the best fit.

Ludo has been taken care of very well, with regular medical checks and vaccines, and does not have health issues. He is neutered, has a chip and an international passport (his vet passport was issued in Den Haag so Ludo's early health history can be easily checked).

We are open to offering support to the foster parent(s) in order to help provide the most relevant care for Ludo.
