Charlie

Een in Craiova woonachtige dierenbeschermster genaamd Ramona trekt zich het lot van de zwerfhonden in haar omgeving aan. Regelmatig vindt ze zwerfhonden op haar weg. Charlie werd gevonden op het treinstation van Craiova. Samen met zijn nestgenootjes lag hij verscholen onder een container. Volledig hulpeloos en zonder kans op overleven. Gelukkig vond Ramona de pupjes op tijd en kon ze ze in veiligheid brengen. Sinds enkele weken verblijven ze in haar asieltje en krijgen ze de (medische) verzorging die ze nodig hebben. Binnenkort heeft Charlie al zijn benodigde vaccinaties gehad, is hij gechipt en in het bezit van een paspoortje. Hlaf december is Charlie in Nederland aangekomen. Hij wordt, samen met zijn zusje Maya, opgevangen in een gastgezin waar meerdere honden aanwezig zijn.

Hieronder Charlie’s aandoenlijke verhaal, geschreven door Ramona zelf in haar eigen woorden.

“They were just tiny souls, hidden beneath a cold metal container near the train station — frightened, hungry, and completely invisible to the world. Every time they dared to peek outside in search of food or warmth, they were chased away. So they learned that people meant danger… and the only way to survive was to stay hidden.

When I found them, their little eyes were full of fear and confusion. It took time, patience, and gentle words to earn even a glimpse of trust. Getting them out from under that container wasn’t easy — but I couldn’t leave them there, living in darkness and fear.

Now they’re safe. They have food, warmth, and the company of other rescued dogs and cats. They play together, wag their tails, and slowly… very slowly… they’re beginning to believe that not all humans are cruel.CHARLIE has already started to let his guard down — he even wags his tail when I come near. It’s a small gesture, but to me, it’s a miracle.He is one of the brave little puppies rescued from under the container near the train station. Each day, he’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

He’s growing more confident, more curious, and more playful with every sunrise. There’s such a sweetness in his eyes — a gentle soul who’s finally starting to believe in kindness. Charlie loves to play and explore, and he’s slowly discovering that human touch can mean safety and love. I truly hope someone will fall in love with him and give him the forever home he deserves — a home where he’ll never have to hide again. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He enjoys playing, and spending time with his furry companions. He would be a perfect addition to a home with other dogs, even cats. Male around 4 months old, medium sized adult dog.

Their journey isn’t over. They still need time, patience, and most of all, love. My greatest wish is for each of them to find a family who will see beyond their fear — a family who will show them that love can heal even the deepest scars.Because every one of them deserves a chance at a beautiful life”.

De adoptievergoeding van Charlie bedraagt 475 euro. De kosten van het voer, de medische controles, vaccinaties, chip, paspoort en de reis naar Nederland zijn hierbij inbegrepen.
