Meet Beethoven – a gentle giant with a soft heart 🎼🐾
Beethoven is 3 years old, and despite his impressive size, he is truly just a big baby wrapped in a giant dog body. He grew up on the streets from puppyhood, lovingly looked after by kind people in his neighborhood. When a new law in Turkey put stray dogs at risk of being rounded up and sent to terrible, overcrowded shelters, the people who cared for him refused to let that happen. To keep him safe, they placed him in a dog hotel/sanctuary — and that decision saved his life.
Life on the streets wasn’t always kind to Beethoven. As a young dog, he was often bullied by bigger and older dogs. Because of this, he is shy and very submissive around other dogs, even though he himself is large. He has no interest in conflict — he’d much rather avoid it altogether.
With people, however, Beethoven is pure love. He adores affection, seeks out pets, and melts into you the moment you give him attention. He is the kind of dog who leans in for cuddles, looks at you with soft eyes, and just wants to be close. A true sweetheart.
Beethoven walks beautifully on the leash and would be happiest with calm, relaxed walks where he can sniff the world at his own pace. At home, he’s all about comfort: stretching out, chilling on the couch, and happily watching Netflix by your side.
He is possibly an Anatolian Shepherd — a breed known for being wonderful with people, children, and even small animals, and for being loyal and protective of their “herd” (their family). That said, we would honestly be shocked if Beethoven ever showed territorial behavior. He is simply too gentle, too friendly, and too soft-hearted for that.
Beethoven is the definition of a gentle giant:
a personal teddy bear with big-dog privileges, a calm soul, and an endless supply of love to give.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with warmth rather than chaos, Beethoven might just be your perfect match. 💙
