Chessy is a sweet, intelligent miniature poodle looking for a calm, patient home. He's a young dog and has already been rehomed once, so he needs an owner who understands that he takes time to settle and build trust.
He's affectionate and bonds closely with his people. Most of the time indoors he's calm and relaxed: he sleeps and chills a lot, and he does not have separation anxiety, so he's fine being left on his own. He communicates through little noises (when he wants attention or to play, he grumbles, which is genuinely cute and funny) or will paw at you for attention (very sweet and gets you off your phone!) He's clever and loves a challenge for his mind - sniffing games, food puzzles and short training sessions make him happy and tire him out.

Reason for rehoming: After honestly giving it a real try, I've had to accept that my life and daily routine can't give Chessy the active, attentive environment he needs and deserves. This isn't an easy decision - he's a lovely little dog, and my only priority now is finding him a calm, patient home where he can thrive. I've started professional 1-on-1 training with him and will gladly pass everything I've learned on to his new owner, so the progress we've built together carries over. I will check with his trainer if she is happy to have a quick handover call with you as well!
Adoption costs: I want no money for this at all. Chessy comes with everything I have for him - all his toys, his bed, grooming brushes, toothbrushes, bowls, food, snacks, passport, the lot - so he can settle into his new home with all his familiar things.
